Winter Day - XBit Tornio Internship
I was tasked to build a winter scenery of a village by Finnish Lapland rapids and forest. The environment was built inside Unreal Engine and I filmed videos and took pictures that were displayed in a showroom with 2 huge wall to ceiling screens. This material can be used for marketing. I was responsible for the whole project so for making all 3D models, textures, special effects, filming and editing. This project was done in under 4 months.
Programs: 3D modeling: Blender, Maya, asset texturing: Substance Painter, seamless textures: Substance Designer, Unreal Engine.

These videos were displayed across 2 screens in the showroom
Seamless Texture compilation. All done in Substance Designer except the snow sparkle was done in Unreal Engine

Cobblestone texture maps: Normal, base color, ambient occlusion, roughness, height. Substance Designer graph below
Bark material. Normal, base color, ambient occlusion, roughness and height maps.
Snow material. Normal map, detail normal, sparkle, base color maps. Detail normal and sparkle map done in photoshop

Trimsheet textures with and without snow. Also shows texture maps: occlusionroughnessmetallic, base color, normal.
Bark texture parameter showcase. You can change the color, glossiness and amount and color of top color to create different effects like snow.

Snow on top of objects effect. It's on top of roof tiles in this example but the angle of snow depends on what is the objects orientation. I used this effect on the trimsheets and other assets.
